The Taste of Tradition
Volunteers organized a culinary workshop for children from the community, where they learned how to prepare traditional kreplach together
A culinary master class was held for children from the community by our dedicated volunteer. This time, participants immersed themselves in the world of Jewish cuisine and learned how to make traditional kreplach together.
Kreplach are traditional Jewish dumplings that carry a special meaning. Their triangular shape symbolizes the three patriarchs - Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob - combining deep symbolism with cultural tradition.
During the workshop, the children not only learned how to prepare kreplach, but also discovered the meaning behind them: the filling symbolizes hope, while the dough represents knowledge. This approach beautifully combines cooking with cultural heritage and tradition.
The cooking process was filled with curiosity, communication, and genuine emotions. Everyone had the opportunity to take part in creating the dish with their own hands and feel connected to the tradition.
Such gatherings help children better understand culture, traditions, and values by passing them on through simple, warm, and creative shared experiences.
