The Tree of the Great Jewish Family

We are one united community with strong roots and a flourishing future.

On the eve of the beautiful holiday of Tu BiShvat, which symbolizes renewal, growth, and our connection to nature, participants of the Superfamily project decided to reconnect with their roots and feel like members of one big, loving family. Together, they created a symbolic artwork—The Tree of the Great Jewish Family.

This initiative brought participants together, reminding them of the importance of Jewish traditions, family bonds, and heritage. Inspired by the symbolism of Tu BiShvat, they compared their roots to those of a tree—deeply embedded in the earth, drawing strength and connection from it, just as our own roots connect us to our ancestors.

Each family contributed to the collective artwork by creating their own branch, incorporating their unique family history and traditions. These branches, when assembled, formed a lush and sprawling canopy—an artistic representation of a strong and united Jewish community, with deep roots, wide-reaching branches, and a sturdy trunk that supports each of its members.

The creative process was filled with warmth and heartfelt moments. Parents and children enjoyed the opportunity to create together, sharing cherished memories, recounting family stories, laughing, and simply appreciating each other's presence.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated in this beautiful initiative! Together, we have shown that we are a close-knit community with strong roots and a bright, flourishing future!
