The warmth of childhood

For Children’s Day, our female volunteers visited a shelter for families in crisis to bring a little celebration to the children

Children’s Day is a special occasion when we wish for all children to feel warmth, care, and genuine joy. That is why our female volunteers decided to dedicate this day to those who need support the most — the residents of a shelter for families in crisis.

This shelter provides temporary refuge for women with children escaping domestic violence, as well as for children deprived of parental care. The young residents live in challenging circumstances, where attention, care, and even a simple celebration are truly rare.

That’s why we organized a plaster figure painting workshop for them — bright, creative, and heartfelt. The children eagerly immersed themselves in a world of colors and imagination, and for a few hours, they could forget about their worries. Sweet treats became a delightful addition to this warm day.

It was a small act, but for some, a big memory. We saw smiles where there were often only cautious glances. And we felt that, even if just for a little while, we managed to make the world a bit kinder.

We thank our volunteers for their sensitivity, genuine hearts, and willingness to share light. Kindness begins with small steps — like this one.
