The warmth of generations in every home
In May, a truly special meeting of our volunteers took place as part of the “Shabbat Guest” project
This time, teenagers joined the good cause - young hearts already ready to share light and warmth with others. Together with the volunteers, they baked 20 fragrant challahs - warm, golden, with love in every twist of the dough.

But the challahs were only part of it. The young participants also assembled Shabbat gift sets - carefully thought out down to the smallest detail, filled with attention and care. These packages were delivered to elderly members of our community who are not always able to prepare for Shabbat on their own. For them, this is not just assistance, but a sign of remembrance, love, and the connection between generations.

Everyone who joined the project said: it didn’t feel like work, it was a day filled with kindness, where every minute had meaning. These were warm conversations, sincere smiles, and caring hands kneading dough and wrapping packages as if for their dearest loved ones. And truly, we do this for our own.

It was especially touching to watch how the youth interacted with the volunteers: listening, learning, and getting inspired. This is how life wisdom and community spirit are passed on, this is how confidence is born that our future is strong and compassionate.
We believe: as long as people are willing to act with open hearts, everything will be all right. And Shabbat, filled with the aroma of challah and good deeds, will become even warmer and more soulful.
