The World Cleanup Day 2026

Volunteers joined the global environmental initiative World Cleanup Day. Together with the Future Generation Charitable Foundation, they organized a community cleanup at the Khortytsia National Reserve, joining forces to protect the cleanliness, beauty, and natural and cultural heritage of Zaporizhzhia.

The "Stairs of Love" near the Science Town became the site of their joint efforts. Volunteers got to work to make the area cleaner and tidier. Participants collected household waste, cleaned the stairs, cleared bushes and overgrowth in front of them, and painted the balustrade basins and columns.

Everyone contributed to the shared effort, as even small individual actions can significantly change the appearance of the space around us. Thanks to their joint work, the area became better maintained, and the cleanup itself showed how care and a willingness to act help protect places that matter to the entire community.

For our team, this initiative was much more than an ordinary cleanup. Khortytsia is a special place that combines natural beauty with historical value. Caring for such spaces means helping preserve our heritage for future generations and showing by example how important it is to treat the environment responsibly.

World Cleanup Day was also an opportunity to unite with like-minded people, work side by side and experience the power of a shared effort. After all, caring for nature begins with simple steps: collecting litter, tidying up an area and restoring the neat appearance of a familiar place. And when a team of caring people gets involved, the results become visible.

We sincerely thank all the volunteers who dedicated their time to this important initiative and the Future Generation Charitable Foundation for their partnership and teamwork. Together, we show that good deeds can change the spaces around us.

Together, we do good - for people, for nature and for our city!
