Traditions of Tu BiShvat
A true celebration of nature, respect for the environment, and the unity of generations and the community
Eco-club volunteers together with the community program “Initiative without Borders” held a bright and warm event “To be ECO” dedicated to the Jewish New Year of Trees - Tu BiShvat!

This day was a real celebration of nature, intergenerational unity and care for the environment. Together, the participants planted microgreens, peas, lettuce, asters and marigolds, which will soon fill the homes of our wards with their colors. They also created a unique drip irrigation pot on a 3D printer and planted a delicate violet in it.
During the event, we were not only engaged in landscaping but also learned interesting facts about the traditions of the holiday. The participants of the mini-lecture talked about the symbolism of trees in Jewish culture, the importance of preserving nature and its impact on our lives. At the psychological meeting “How emotions and tastes are connected. The Fruits of Israel's Trees” participants explored how nature affects a person's inner state.

The atmosphere was complemented by a themed cartoon about ecology, which prompted reflection on our role in preserving the environment. The final chord was the delivery of pots of greenery to the elderly members of the community, so that everyone could feel a bit of spring renewal in their homes.
Tu BiShvat is not only a celebration of trees, but also a reminder of our responsibility to nature and future generations. Together we make the world greener, kinder and warmer! We thank everyone who joined our initiative!
