Traditions that unite
At the Ternopil branch of the Hesed Besht Charitable Foundation, volunteers and community members came together to celebrate Purim
The celebration began after sunset with the reading of the Megillat Esther - a meaningful moment of unity that allowed participants to feel the depth of the tradition and its significance.
Volunteers, Hesed clients, and community members gathered at the community center club. Together, they prepared for the holiday - baking traditional hamantaschen, cooking dishes, communicating, and creating a warm and friendly atmosphere.
An important part of the celebration was the fulfillment of one of the key Purim mitzvot - mishloach manot. Volunteers prepared gift packages with handmade treats, putting into them not only their effort but also care and attention.
These festive gifts were delivered to low-mobility and low-income clients. For many of them, this was not just a pleasant surprise, but a sign that they are not forgotten and remain an important part of the community.
Thus, Purim in Ternopil became not only a celebration of traditions but also a day of sincere support, connection, and shared joy.
