Two Weeks of Kindness and Care

As part of Good Deeds Day, volunteers carried out dozens of initiatives supporting people, the community, and animals

Volunteers from the Wings of Kindness Centre in Kropyvnytskyi, the regional branch of the Hesed Shaarei Zion Charitable Foundation, actively joined the international Good Deeds Day campaign. From April 13 to 26, they showed every day that kindness begins with simple actions and a sincere desire to help.

Throughout the campaign, volunteers supported those who needed care the most. They assisted older adults by delivering groceries and hot meals, accompanying them to hospitals, visiting them at home, and helping with household cleaning. These visits provided not only practical support but also warmth and companionship for people living alone.

Supporting animals was another important part of the campaign. Volunteers raised funds for the treatment and sterilization of stray animals, while also providing food and essential care.

The team also helped improve the local community by cleaning neglected graves, planting flowers, and creating cleaner, more welcoming surroundings. In addition, volunteers sewed kitchen potholders for charitable needs and donated clothing to the House of Mercy organization.

One of the most heartfelt initiatives was the neighbourhood campaign, Take a Piece of Kindness with You, reminding everyone that even a small act of care can brighten someone's day and strengthen faith in humanity.

Although Good Deeds Day has come to an end, kindness has no schedule for the Wings of Kindness volunteers. Inspired by their shared efforts and the impact they made, they continue helping those in need every day, making the world around them a little better.
