VCFest of Good Deeds
A group of volunteers gathered to carry out good and important deeds!
This event was part of the VCFest campaign aimed at supporting, developing, motivating, and uniting volunteers through joint good and useful deeds, training, and team building.
For several hours, volunteers learned and worked together! They immersed themselves in the history of Jewish families in the city of Dubno and learned more about the city itself, which sparked great interest. Thanks to a psychological training session, the volunteers acquired valuable skills that helped them open up, trust each other, and overcome psychological barriers. Thanks to the participation of each participant, the event turned out to be very positive and beneficial.
Then they all worked together - clearing 54 matzevot at the Jewish cemetery in Varkovychi! Little helpers, future volunteers, also joined the work, realizing how important it is to engage in charity from childhood, as they see in their parents.
The inscriptions and drawings on the matzevot piqued the interest of all the event participants. Volunteers photographed the matzevot; perhaps some of them are looking for the burial places of their loved ones and relatives.
The day was eventful... Everyone said their goodbyes and were already planning the next meeting! Special thanks to JDC, who helped turn this necessary initiative into reality and support volunteers in their noble endeavors.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who joined this initiative! It was a well-coordinated, hardworking, and friendly event!
