Warmth in Every Jam Jar
Volunteers prepared jars for Good Jam Day to fill them with homemade jam later
Preparations for Good Jam Day began long before the jam started bubbling in the kitchen. This time, volunteers from our Wings of Kindness Center took on a hands-on craft project - collecting and decorating jars that would soon be filled with sweet homemade treats for Hesed clients.
At first glance, this may seem like ordinary preparation for a cooking campaign. But for our volunteers, every jar has a special meaning. Soon, it will be filled not only with fragrant jam but also with the care, effort and warmth of people who want to make someone's everyday life a little happier.
The next steps are making homemade jam, filling the jars and preparing gifts for Hesed beneficiaries. The volunteers want every recipient to feel that they are remembered, that someone has made an effort for them and that there are people who care.
We especially hope these gifts will warm hearts even in winter. So that on a cold day, someone can pour a cup of warm tea, open a jar of homemade jam and remember the care that went into this little gift.
It is these simple but heartfelt steps that make up a great cause. Preparing together brings volunteers closer around a shared goal and reminds us that warmth can be shared in many ways - sometimes even through a small jar.
Good Jam Day is not just about jam. It is about kindness, attention and the desire to share goodness. Because sometimes care really can fit into a very small jar. And it can hold so much warmth.
