Wave of Goodness

The relay of good deeds, launched by the Volunteer Network Volunteer Community, has reached Mykolaiv.

Under the auspices of the Volunteer Community Ukr, which unites 33 volunteer centers across Ukraine, a wonderful relay of good deeds called "Wave of Goodness" has started, aimed at strengthening volunteer solidarity and fostering friendly relations to better help those in need.

As part of the campaign, each volunteer center sequentially receives a virtual relay baton along with a specific task, which is to be completed within one week. Thus, the list of good deeds in each community is expanded, and the colorful mosaic of volunteer assistance across the country grows and expands.

Along with the virtual baton, Mykolaiv Volunteer Community NOEK JCC received a task from the volunteer center in Zaporizhzhia "Do Good, Ukraine" on the topic of "Volunteer Care." Our center's volunteers enthusiastically began to fulfill the task, taking into account that their care should reflect the atmosphere of the upcoming Purim holiday.

Observing the commandments of Purim, our volunteers aged 65+ and volunteer families prepared wonderful gifts for lonely members of the community and 22 children from CI. They baked over 350 hamantaschen, and the youth from the Teen Club AJT NOEK delivered gifts to 18 addresses of lonely elderly people. This act of attention and care is especially important in anticipation of the joyful and festive holiday.

We have completed our task, and the relay has moved on, building the "Wave of Good Deeds" across Ukraine. Thanks to it, many people will receive the necessary support. This wonderful campaign demonstrates the power of united volunteer efforts and proves that together we can change the world for the better!
