Wave of Purim

As part of the “Bring Joy” campaign, volunteers of the center prepared gifts and organized Purim-related activities

The light of traditions is born in the heart of the community and is revealed in the warmest details - in homemade treats prepared by volunteers, and in gifts created with love. This is exactly how volunteers within the “Bring Joy” campaign prepared for the Purim holiday, combining care, tradition, and unity.

Together they baked traditional hominy - sweet triangular pastries symbolizing the victory of good over evil. They also created special gifts for elderly people: decorated wooden boards, each becoming a small work of art filled with warmth and care. All of this reminds us that even the smallest gesture can become an expression of great love and support.

Within the campaign, the community also came together to prepare traditional Mishloach Manot for children and elderly people. Volunteers carefully prepared gifts and organized a special cinema outing, where children watched the animated film “Goat Story: The Old Legend”. In the hall were children of internally displaced families, children with disabilities, and children from the community - different life stories, but a shared need for joy and support.

After the screening, the children received sweet gifts - the same Mishloach Manot, lovingly assembled by volunteers. Happy eyes, warm hugs, and sincere smiles became the best proof that the celebration was a success. Gratitude is also extended to partners who open their doors to the community and help create moments of light.

In parallel, the “Bring Joy” campaign continues its mission at a distance as well. Families of volunteers bake, cook, and prepare sweets to send to those who are far away but still need a sense of celebration and belonging. Each package becomes a sign of attention, support, and love that bridges distances.

Purim in these stories is not only a tradition, but a reminder of unity and the power of goodness. The “Bring Joy” campaign once again proves that when a community acts together, even the smallest gesture can warm a heart and create a true miracle.
