We are talking about healthy eating

A meeting for mobility-impaired beneficiaries as part of the “Haverim” program: healthy nutrition, tips, and recipes

As part of the “Haverim” program, our volunteers organized a heartfelt and engaging gathering for participants with mobility impairments. On this occasion, the topic was particularly timely and important - proper nutrition and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Together, we discussed the importance of taking care of one’s body even in later years, and how small changes in diet can positively affect well-being and mood. We talked about simple and accessible foods that can form the foundation of a daily menu, and participants also shared their own culinary tips.

Attendees enthusiastically spoke about their favorite dishes and passed-down family recipes, while volunteers added modern advice on healthy alternatives. This blend of tradition and new knowledge proved truly inspiring for everyone.

Most importantly, this gathering provided warmth, a sense of support, and joy. After all, “Haverim” is not just about learning new things - it’s about friendship, attention, and mutual care.
