Not so long ago, as a part of “World of Hope” event, was organized a meet-up with a theme that is rather unique, but also relevant due to recent events. The topic was “Process of making trench candles” and participants discussed the following points:

• What is needed to make one?

• Where the needed materials can be acquired?

• Methods of making and so on.

As is turned out, the process of producing trench candles has started in the May. People are gathering once a week and many people are participating in this voluntary process.

As an example, volunteers from the “Restless Grandmothers” are providing all volunteers with needed materials. Parents, on their end, are gathering materials from their acquaintances.

It is a pleasure to work in a community of people where you can always get feedback and the feeling of mutual respect and unity of a common goal is in the air.
