Holidays for Former Ghetto Prisoners

Organizing events for former ghetto prisoners with the aim of supporting and engaging them in community life

Preserving the memory of the tragic events of World War II and showing respect for those who suffered during these events is an important task of our center. With this goal in mind, in collaboration with the Odessa Volunteer Community Migdal and charitable foundations, we regularly organize festive events for former ghetto prisoners.

Project Description:

As part of the project, events are held for members of our community who are former ghetto prisoners on holidays. During these events, our beneficiaries participate in various activities related to the holidays. This enables them to become involved in community life, develop social connections, and experience positive emotions.

Project Goals:

The project aims to assist in the socialization of former ghetto prisoners and engage them in the community life of our society. Another goal of the project is to improve the quality of life for these individuals by enhancing their psychological well-being through participation in festive events.

Role of Volunteers:

The project is organized with the support of volunteers, whose efforts are directed towards preparing the program for festive events and assisting in the traditional parts of the celebration. Additionally, volunteers are responsible for organizing and providing festive refreshments.

Project Results:

The project has received high praise from both participants and charitable organizations and volunteers involved in organizing events within the project. There has been noted increase in social activity among former ghetto prisoners, as well as an improvement in their overall emotional well-being. Furthermore, the project fosters partnership between volunteers and charitable foundations, enhancing collaboration effectiveness and leading to better outcomes.
