Project "Celebration in Every Home"

Integrating People with Disabilities into Community Life through Home Jewish Holiday Celebrations

The "Celebration in Every Home" project is designed to integrate people with disabilities into cultural and community life by organizing and celebrating Jewish holidays at home.

As part of the project, Jewish holidays are organized and celebrated for people with disabilities according to the Jewish calendar. Volunteers regularly visit their assigned individuals, ensuring social interaction and helping to maintain the cultural traditions of the Jewish people.

The main goals of the project are:

  • Creating conditions to uphold Jewish traditions
  • Preserving connections within the community
  • Enhancing the emotional well-being and overall quality of life for people with disabilities

The tasks of volunteers within the project include:

  • Organizing and conducting Jewish holiday celebrations at home for non-mobile and less mobile individuals
  • Preparing and delivering everything necessary for the holidays
  • Providing support and communication with project participants, creating a festive and warm atmosphere
  • Training and mentoring new volunteers
  • Increased social activity among people with disabilities
  • Inclusion of non-mobile and less mobile individuals in community life
  • Maintenance of Jewish traditions
  • Improved quality of life for people with disabilities
  • Development of new volunteers
