Project "Hand to Hand"

Joint spending of time during holidays to provide support and maintain social connections

Online project "Hand to Hand"

Elderly and immobile people are significantly limited in their ability to communicate with other community members, which is particularly felt during holidays when everyone gathers together and participates in various activities. To address this challenge, the wonderful online project "Hand to Hand" has been created, aimed at supporting those who cannot physically attend community holiday events.

Project Description:

The project organizes online events, including workshops, virtual meetings, and other cultural activities designed to convey new information or remind participants of what they already know, as well as to provide enjoyable joint activities and casual interaction. This allows elderly and immobile people to join other community members in celebrating various dates. Online meetings within the project are held 4 times a year.

Project Goals:

Participation in the project helps elderly and immobile people actively participate in events dedicated to important holidays, improve social connections, and combat loneliness. Additionally, online workshops enable growth, development, and self-realization, which positively impacts the participants' psychological well-being.

Role of Volunteers:

The "Hand to Hand" project is organized with the support of volunteers, whose efforts are focused on preparing and organizing online events during holidays and providing technical support, including informing participants without relevant experience about working with the online platform. Volunteers also work to maintain a cozy, friendly atmosphere during the events and encourage active participation among the participants.

Project Results:

Currently, the project involves elderly and immobile community members who cannot attend offline holiday events. The workshops prepared by volunteers cater to the cultural and creative interests of the participants. Our beneficiaries eagerly participate in the project and express immense gratitude for the opportunity to interact with other community members, as well as to develop and acquire new knowledge.
