Project "Semochka"
Creating a platform for additional education for children and for educators wishing to gain experience in teaching
Project "Semochka"
One of the most important tasks of the community is the upbringing and education of children, upon whom our common future depends. Today, many parents resort to the help of tutors to help their child catch up in one subject or another. The project "Semochka" was created for young children and their parents who do not have the opportunity to hire private tutors but still strive to create conditions for their child's successful education.
Project Description:
Within the framework of the project, an educational platform has been created for children who are falling behind in various subjects, where they can improve their knowledge based on forms and methods of Jewish and informal education. Children study with teachers, filling gaps in academic knowledge, and also have the opportunity to become better acquainted with Jewish culture and traditions. Additionally, the project opens up great opportunities for young teachers, expanding their experience working with children and providing them with new effective methods. Sessions within the project are held 2-3 times a month.
Project Goals:
Participation in the project contributes to raising the level of knowledge among children who are falling behind in various subjects. Also, during the project, children become acquainted with the history and traditions of the Jewish people, which is important for the upbringing of the younger generation. Furthermore, the project helps young teachers to grow professionally and relieves the financial burden on low-income parents.
Role of Volunteers:
The project "Semochka" is organized with the support of volunteers, whose efforts are aimed at conducting additional classes for children who are falling behind in their studies. Volunteers prepare for classes using Jewish and informal education methodologies and forms. Additionally, they motivate children to actively participate in classes by creating a friendly and comfortable atmosphere during the lesson. Volunteers also participate in educational seminars and workshops for young educators.
Project Results:
Parents of children participating in the project note an improvement in academic performance in school subjects, as well as an increase in interest in learning overall. Volunteer teachers also benefit from the project, improving their teaching level and enhancing communication and interaction skills with students. According to participants, the platform contributes to the growth of conscientiousness among both children and young teacher specialists.
