Project "We Are People!"

Creating a Team of Trained Volunteers to Conduct Tours of Jewish Sites in Ternopil Region

The "We Are People!" project aims to popularize and preserve the rich Jewish cultural heritage of the Ternopil region by training volunteer tour guides for the Jewish museum and the city of Ternopil, and organizing tours led by them.

Project Description:

Training sessions for volunteer tour guides are held once a week. During these sessions, volunteers gather historical information and develop routes to Jewish sites in the Ternopil region.

Project Goals:

The main goals of the project are:

  • Creating interesting tourist routes.
  • Introducing the public to the traditions and history of the region's Jewish community.
  • Increasing interest in studying the history of the homeland.
  • Promoting tolerance in society.

Role of Volunteers:

Volunteer tasks within the project include:

  • Gathering and analyzing historical information about Jewish culture and heritage in Ternopil.
  • Developing tourist routes.
  • Conducting tours for visitors.
  • Interacting with the audience.
  • Creating engaging and informative programs.

Expected Project Outcomes:

  • The emergence of new interesting routes for guests and residents of the Ternopil region.
  • Familiarizing the public with the traditions and history of the region's Jewish community.
  • Increasing interest in studying the history of the homeland.
  • Fostering a more tolerant society.
