Developing Social Activity, Responsibility, and Values in Children through Lessons on Mutual Aid in Jewish Tradition
The "Young Volunteer: Volunteering through the Torah" project aims to cultivate highly moral and socially active members of society by studying Jewish texts and developing volunteer skills in children.
Within the framework of the project, sessions are held to introduce children to the Torah and other Jewish texts that emphasize the importance of mutual aid. Additionally, children participate in volunteer activities that help them gain volunteer experience and develop leadership qualities, which are assessed using special tests.
The main goals of the project are:
- Familiarizing children with traditional Jewish texts
- Developing responsiveness and a desire to help others
- Increasing the level of social activity and responsibility towards society
- Cultivating spiritual values
- Introducing children to volunteer activities
- Identifying and developing leadership qualities
The tasks of volunteers within the project include:
- Conducting lessons and workshops on the basics of volunteer activities and Jewish traditions
- Organizing and conducting volunteer actions and events for children
- Providing support and mentorship to children in their volunteer activities
- Conducting psychological tests and games to identify and develop leadership qualities
- Increased social activity and responsibility in children
- Formation of a group of future volunteers with high moral standards and leadership skills
- Creation of a platform for the further development and support of volunteer activities among the youth
