Preserving the Jewish culinary heritage of Shostka through regular training on family recipes of Jewish cuisine.
The "Zeselakh" project is designed to preserve unique family recipes of Jewish cuisine, which are an important part of cultural heritage, and integrate them into modern culture.
Project Description:
Within the project, regular culinary masterclasses are held where participants learn about and prepare traditional Jewish dishes typical to the Shostka region. The dishes prepared by volunteers are served as treats for elderly people and are offered for organizing festive events and Shabbats.
Project Goals:
Preserve and pass on traditional family recipes of Jewish cuisine to the new generation. Introduce volunteers and participants to the traditions and history of Jewish cuisine in the Shostka region. Provide elderly people with traditional Jewish dishes.
Role of Volunteers:
Organize and conduct culinary masterclasses. Research family recipes and study the history of Jewish cuisine. Prepare dishes for treating elderly people and festive events. Comprehensively support project participants. Assist in preserving and passing on traditional recipes.
Expected Project Outcomes:
Preservation and transmission of Jewish culinary traditions to new generations. Increase awareness and interest in Jewish culinary tradition among volunteers and project participants. Establish a platform for regular culinary masterclasses. Provide elderly people with traditional Jewish dishes. Strengthen intergenerational ties and create an atmosphere of community and mutual support.
