The "Perakh" Project

Individual mentorship for school-aged children through a volunteer–child pairing system

Creating a system of regular individual mentorship for children, where volunteers help develop abilities, independence, and social skills while supporting them in learning and daily life.

The project organizes volunteer–child pairs, with each mentor focusing on the individual needs of the child, assisting with learning, talent development, and social adaptation. This personalized approach allows each child’s potential to flourish and provides emotional support.

Project Goals:

  • Provide individual support and mentorship for school-aged children.
  • Promote the development of social, academic, and creative skills.
  • Foster positive relationships between children and adults through volunteer mentorship.
  • Support children’s self-realization and increase their self-confidence.

Volunteer Role:

  • Work in a volunteer–child pair, providing individual mentorship.
  • Support learning, talent development, and social adaptation.
  • Organize interactive activities and exercises for child development.
  • Offer mentorship and foster emotional and social competencies in children.

Project Results:

  • Improved academic and social skills of children.
  • Increased number of children receiving individual support.
  • Enhanced confidence and independence among children.
  • Development of a culture of volunteer mentorship within the community.
