What does volunteering mean for me? This means to live with heart, to do what you can without expecting payment or praise. I like very much to be a volunteer. I’ve experienced it myself, and I believe that to help others, to take care of others, to enjoy and to have fun with the process is the most natural desire of a person.

Volunteering, for me, is an exchange of positive emotions and a desire to create goodness in the world, providing assistance to those in need.
My choice to engage in volunteering was driven by the changes brought about by the war. After moving to Lutsk and joining the volunteer center, I realized that it was not just a choice but a lifestyle. The need to help those going through difficult times became an integral part of my daily life.
As a volunteer, I participate in projects aimed at ensuring food security, assist the beneficiaries of Hesed, organize the collection and preservation of memories in the "Memory" project, and contribute to health support in the "Health Rainbow" project.
On my volunteering journey, I have not encountered serious difficulties. I am happy to be a volunteer at our center - each project brings me joy and satisfaction.
Volunteering provides me with new acquaintances and equips me with valuable knowledge that helps me develop as an individual and expands opportunities to assist other people.

Hello, my name is Mila Vasilevskaya, and I am a volunteer at our center. My journey into volunteering began with a seminar that my friend invited me to. This event made me think about how many people need help. I also realized that I am capable of providing them with real support. I liked everything - both the volunteer projects and the wonderful team that brings them to life!
I became part of this wonderful team and immersed myself in volunteer activities. Today, I participate in several important projects of our center: "Food Security," "Warm at Home," "Rainbow of Health," and "Chesed for People and Chesed to People." Additionally, I am a co-coordinator of the "Birthday Celebration" project. Thanks to participating in these projects, I can provide assistance to various groups of people.
Overall, my volunteering brings me immense pleasure, but there is one aspect that hinders me from devoting more attention to projects. Often, it's difficult to find free time amidst the whirlwind of everyday life problems. This saddens me because I really want to do as much good as possible for our wards!
But the joy of volunteering outweighs all minor disappointments. When I am among my like-minded people, I feel that together we are a tremendous force capable of literally "moving mountains." Our joint efforts every day help to change this world for the better!

Due to a reduction in budget and a decrease in staff at Hesed organizations, there has been a pressing need for additional help in office operations.
