A Day of Kindness
Volunteers were very happy to cheer up the children and spend a few hours in the role of their older brothers and sisters!
While for DVC volunteers every day is an occasion to do something good, International Good Deeds Day is a very special event. This year, volunteers visited a shelter for children and families who have found themselves in a challenging situation at a point in life.
Every child and volunteer liked the gingerbread coloring master class - several dozen patriotic and other drawings were created together. It was especially pleasant to see that even the smallest ones did not stay away from such an interesting activity - for each volunteer they picked up a drawing that they could help them complete.
Each of the 15 kids received an individual kit for hygiene and sweets as a gift. Volunteers also gathered some plush toys in advance, which they then donated to the shelter. And, of course, everyone enjoyed playing with balloons - both the children and the volunteers themselves.
