A Garden of Goodness

Our center, together with Volunteer Community Ukr, participated in the international campaign "Good Deeds Day."

The wave of good deeds within the framework of the international "Good Deeds Day" campaign reached Chernihiv, and our center, along with Volunteer Community Ukr, carried out an important good deed for the Chernihiv geriatric nursing home. To improve the conditions for the elderly residents of the nursing home, volunteers organized the creation of a real garden!

A vacant plot of land on the institution's territory, which previously had no plants except grass, was allocated for the future garden. It will take several years to turn it into a blooming garden, but the volunteers took the first step by planting 40 fruit trees, including apple, pear, and apricot trees. Care and attention will transform the young saplings into strong trees that will bear a rich harvest, delighting the nursing home residents with fresh fruits.

This wonderful initiative "laid the first stone in the foundation" of the future garden, symbolizing the volunteers' attention and care for the elderly. This good deed fits perfectly into one of our center's important projects, "Eco Community," which focuses on caring for the environment and responsible use of natural resources.

We thank the volunteers who participated in the campaign for their creative approach in striving to improve the lives of the nursing home residents. We are confident that the new "Garden of Goodness" will soon flourish and provide the nursing home with apples, pears, and apricots, which the volunteers planted with care and love!
