An action within the "Eco-Community" project.

Greening and taking care of plants contribute to the conservation of natural resources and make a contribution to the future!

Greening and taking care of plants contribute to the conservation of natural resources and make a contribution to the future.

As part of the "Eco-Community" project, the Chernihiv Volunteer Community organized an educational and beneficial ecological action at the regional scientific lyceum.

This special place can be compared to a real botanical garden. This time, the main part of our "volunteer team" was made up of teenagers from the "Boker" club, led by an outstanding scientist and a candidate of biological sciences. During the event, they learned many interesting facts about various plants and their impact on our lives.

The main object of the action was the unique "Garden of Wisdom and Love," also known as the "Garden of King Solomon." This is a place where plants mentioned in the Bible grow, especially in those books attributed to the famous King Solomon. This choice is not accidental, as the Bible describes Solomon as a wise man who "spoke about trees, from the cedar of Lebanon to the hyssop that grows out of the wall" (1 Kings 5:12-13).

The coordinator of the Chernihiv Volunteer Community, who himself participated in the creation of this project as a consultant, told the teenagers about the history and significance of this place.

Volunteers brought and planted flowers mentioned in the Bible in the "Garden of Solomon." After the action, they also enjoyed tea made from mint and hyssop that they collected themselves.

This ecological action enriched the volunteers not only with new knowledge but also with vivid experiences. It gave them valuable experience of interacting with nature and an understanding of how important our care for the environment is in preserving the health and well-being of future generations.
