Hanukkah – The Festival of Light
This year, Halom_volume volunteers went above and beyond to bring a touch of magic to little heroes.
Hanukkah is a joyous holiday filled with light, happiness, and bright emotions. It’s especially beloved by children, as they eagerly await gifts and the promise of miracles. This year, the volunteers of Halom_volume aimed to delight young ones, allowing them to fully experience the festive spirit. This effort was especially meaningful amidst the challenging times our community is enduring.
The volunteers prepared 55 wonderful gifts for children who are internally displaced persons (IDPs). Each package included traditional Hanukkah sweets and other surprises. While children naturally love treats, the most valuable part of these gifts was the attention and care shown by our volunteers. It is this love and thoughtfulness that makes these Hanukkah presents so special and meaningful.
Along with their eagerly awaited gifts, every child received warm wishes and smiles. The greatest reward for the volunteers was the joy reflected in the children’s eyes and the sound of their happy laughter. This initiative demonstrated that even in the darkest times, kindness has the power to create true miracles.
We thank our volunteers for their warmth and care for those around them! Let’s continue to spread kindness, support one another, and care for those in need.
