Online Shabbat "Tikkun Olam"

Volunteers conducted an online Kabalat Shabbat and sessions on Tikkun Olam for Social Worker Day.

Our volunteers regularly host online Shabbat gatherings with the beneficiaries of Hesed Menachem. During these events, we read and discuss the weekly Torah portion, light candles, and welcome the holiday with kiddush. After the traditional "Shabbat Shalom!" we organize engaging sessions on Jewish traditions.

In one of our recent meetings, we chose the theme of "Tikkun Olam" - repairing the world. This theme was dedicated to Social Worker Day, as they are the ones who dedicate their lives to helping others and improving the world.

Our volunteer madrichim (leaders) provided a deeper overview of the theme, drew parallels with the modern world, and engaged in discussions with participants about various paths to repairing the world. We also expressed gratitude to the Hesed staff who have chosen the path of Tikkun Olam and dedicated their lives to helping others.
