Project "From Hands in Hands" brings people together!
This wonderful and rather tasty project brings together not only different generations, but also different Jewish organization!
This year Mykolayiv Volunteer Noek, Community of the Jewish culture form Nikolayev, and Jewish community of Nikolayev have united for this project.
For the Rosh Hashanah celebration, we prepared very thoughtfully and thoroughly.
More than 70 single elders have received the gifts that were prepared, packaged, and delivered by the Jewish organizations of the city. From the Jewish community – scrumptious round challahs, Community of the Jewish culture form Nikolayev and Jewish community of Nikolayev have provided traditional holiday treats (honey, apples, sweets) and gifting postcards. At the front of the postcard was displayed the embroidery work of the Darya Levitskaya, graduate of the teen Jewish programs NOEK.
In the process of baking challahs have participated families of the volunteers #Noek_Parents. Together we have baked 73 challahs!
Five days in a row, volunteers and participants of the teenager club “NOEK” were delivering holiday set of gifts to the doorsteps of the elderly people!
Altogether, 57 volunteers have participated in this event!
