Shabbat To Go
DVC volunteers greeted Hesed wards and brought kosher sets for Shabbat.
As the last sunny days added bright notes to our mood, this Shabbat turned out to be special thanks to our weekly "Shabbat To Go" project.
Our volunteers, as usual, bring joy and attention, delivering Shabbat sets to those who need it most - grandmothers, grandfathers, and people with disabilities from the Hesed Menachem center.
Often, due to physical limitations, many of our neighbors cannot prepare for Shabbat on their own. Volunteers try to help them by coming to the most remote corners of the city and taking care of the necessary elements of the festive table.
However, it's not just about delivering groceries. Volunteers take the time to support with conversation, listen, and share their warmth. It's important not only to bring a festive mood but also to create a sense of care and attention to each recipient.
This Shabbat became another sign that many people can feel and enjoy the traditional holiday thanks to volunteer work and caring for others.
