Shavuot by Volunteers

A special activity dedicated to the holiday of Shavuot was organized for the community’s children by our center’s volunteers.

A special activity dedicated to the holiday of Shavuot was organized for the community’s children by our center’s volunteers. From the very beginning, the children were immersed in the festive atmosphere, engaging in a program full of learning, games, and delicious treats.

The hosts shared the significance of Shavuot, the day the Torah was given at Mount Sinai, and the traditions of the holiday. The children eagerly participated, listening attentively, asking questions, and sharing their thoughts.

The event continued with an exciting quiz, where each child showcased their knowledge about Shavuot and received a small but delightful gift. Joyful outdoor games added even more laughter and fun to the day.

One of the highlights was a cheese tasting, symbolizing Shavuot, where everyone sampled unique cheese varieties and learned fascinating facts about this delicious treat.

The celebration concluded with the presentation of a "Sweetness of Torah" cake, beautifully designed as a Torah scroll. It symbolized the importance of the holiday, and everyone happily enjoyed the delectable dessert.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated and helped organize this event! We look forward to seeing you at our future celebrations and activities!
