Let’s Play and Hang Out

In our sessions, we celebrate Shabbat, learn about Jewish leaders, sing, solve various tasks, play games, and just have a good time.

The “Let’s Play and Hang Out” project is designed to help elderly individuals overcome the challenging period of social isolation (such as during a pandemic) through regular online meetings featuring various activities.

Project Description:

The project organizes online meetings with elderly beneficiaries twice a week. These meetings are both educational and entertaining. Participants learn about Jewish traditions and history, sing, and take part in intellectual games (quizzes, charades).

Project Goals:

  • Combat loneliness among elderly individuals
  • Improve the psychological well-being of project participants
  • Enhance knowledge and cognitive abilities of participants
  • Develop and maintain social connections within the community
  • Prevent depression among the elderly caused by loneliness

Role of Volunteers:

  • Spread information about the project
  • Generate ideas for new meetings
  • Prepare and conduct events
  • Provide technical support to project participants
  • Create a friendly and supportive atmosphere during online meetings
  • Attract new volunteers

Project Results:

  • Increased social activity among elderly community members
